Funkwhale's general architecture is not currently described in the user documentation. From what I've been able to deduce from the documentation so far (and I might be wrong):
- CHANNEL is the container for LIBRARIES. A composer might have a Channel named after them.
- LIBRARIES are the container for (optional) ALBUMS.
- ALBUMS are the container for audio Tracks, which Funkwhale refers to as 'CONTENT'.
What makes things confusing is that the documentation refers (perhaps interchangeably) to 'CHANNEL', 'ARTIST' and 'ARTIST CHANNEL'. To compound the confusion, the documentation also refers to 'Artist page in my Library' here:
https://docs.funkwhale.audio/user/libraries/content/edit.html#edit-artist
How can a Library have an 'Artist' page if ARTIST CHANNEL is the container for LIBRARIES?
