how to deal with compilation albums?

when i upload an album of various artists, it doesn't display it as one album but it adds it as an album for each artist. let's say it's a 10 artist album, i get 10 albums listed in funkwhale and not just 1.

is it a tagging issue?

files are tagged with the individual artist names and the same album name, and numbered.

Its something which is basically not well supported by Funkwhale. There is a work in progress merge request, but its quite complex to solve and is probably going to take a long time until its done.
