The communications group applications have been open for a little while, and I'm back from vacation now. Let's jump into the voting!

Following a discussion with @gcrk we're just putting the applications for @paulatothepeople and myself forward for now as he's got a lot on his plate. Of course, once the group is founded we can always add more people 🙂
