Hi,
[problem]
I have an Ubuntu Touch phone and have noticed there isn't an official or native Funkwhale app on there. I know you can get around this by using the subsonic api in some apps but it seems to me an official app or at least one which uses Funkwhales native API could be a great help -- especially now that the usonic app seems to run into some problems.
[feature requested]
Currently, to do this you can run Funkwhale for Android through Waydroid but this does not translate into controles over the UT player (such as pausing music while in locked screen.)
[possible solution?]
I have only recently started contributing to open source/community projects so I am not that familiar with the workflow. I have some experience coding (but mostly html, php and python) so I am willing to try and built a Funkwhale app for UT myself. Yet, since there is already a fully fletched android app, I was wondering what steps I would need to take to turn this code into an UT app? I don't know if the backend logic needs to be different or if it is mostly fine tuning and working on the front end? Of course, the other option is to make a webapp of a funkwhale pod website, but in this case there is again no control through UT itself and would not allow download etc.

Please change this discussion to another channel if it is in the wrong place. And I'm sorry if I am asking something out of order. Most importantly I wanted to say thank you to this community for developping this project! so thanks!
TL;DR: An Ubuntu Touch native 'Funkwhale for android' app would be helpful, what steps do I need to take to make this happen?
