My name is Ciarán. I’m a technical writer by trade, but have previously worked as a software developer and systems administrator. I’ve been working with the Funkwhale project since 2018, when I decided to use it as a way to learn Docker. I mostly work on documentation and frontend development (although I’m not particularly good at frontend work, I just kind of hit things with hammers until they look like they’re working).
Before I started working I was a postgraduate student of film and Japanese mythology. I kind of just fell into computing because I primarily used Linux when studying. I’m pretty much entirely self-taught, so don’t be surprised if my code looks a bit funky sometimes.
Nice to see everyone here!
