Since a few weeks we are using Glitchtip, an open source fork of Sentry. It helps us to collect error traces from our Funkwhale Installations in order to have all the information available to fix Bugs and Improve Funkwhale. Of course the usage is fully optional and needs to be manually enabled by instance admins.
Glitchtip is much lighter and faster and makes it therefore possible to host it for us, Sentry is way to heavy and complex and also not OSI-Licensed anymore.
Long story short: I am happy Glitchtip is around and helps us developing Funkwhale.
A few days ago the maintainer of Glitchtip made a call they cannot build their docker images anymore since Gitlab's free runners don't provide enough time anymore. So I offered to them to use our runner as well and they would be happy to do so.
I think its a good deal, we get glitchtip for free and we share resources we have and don't need all the time anyways to support their developments. We are free to cancel this at any time.
Let me know what you think!
