Channel accessible only for logged in users

Hi,
First of all thanks for this awesome project. Specifically the documentation is fantastic. However, I have one question that I was not able to find an answer for. Background: I run funkwhale as a private instance for regular music playback. However, I wanted to upload some recordings (think of them like a podcast maybe?) and make them available as a channel, but it seems that when I create a channel as described in https://docs.funkwhale.audio/users/channels.html#creating-a-channel this is public by default. I was hoping that the channels are also only available when logged in (which is the case for my regular music on the instance as well).
Thanks for any help on how to create a channel that only me and the few users of my instance can subscribe to.

If you close your api to external user and disable federation, the channel should only appear in your instance. But note that all the content will be close to unauth users.
Channel are very public by design. If you want to have better control on your content I would suggest to user libraries

Thanks for the fast reply. I don't want to "corrupt" my music library with podcasts. I know that multiple libraries can be created, but after a short test it seemed that there was no easy way to "only see my default library and only occasionally browse through "the podcast library". I will check again; and again: Thank you!

that's true....I will had this point to our task about creating new content types. Thx 🙂

But why don't you use channels for podacast and libraries for music ? Podcast are public anyway don't they ?
